Plan's Emergency Cover.

If you require emergency treatment outside of coming to us, when you're on holiday or if your child is away at university your plan covers the cost.

Children of Plan Patients:

Children of plan patients will be entitled to two dental exams per year, free of charge up to 18 years old.

Any treatment required on deciduous teeth, including extractions will be provided free of charge by our Therapists.

Treatment on permanent teeth will be chargeable at 40% discount on private prices.

Any orthodontic extractions on deciduous or permanent teeth will be provided free of charge.

The above plans are for kids whose parent / guardian are NOT plan members.

There is no sign-up fee for our kids plans.

The worldwide cover is an excellent choice for students heading to university in other cities.

What about NHS appointments?

We no longer provide NHS routine treatment. We do offer daily NHS urgent care for toothache and discomfort, by appointment only at both Fulwell and John St. This service is available to all adults and children.

How do I sign up?

We are welcoming all current or new patients to join our Practice Plan membership.

At Fulwell, we will need to ensure your records are up to date at a private Dental Exam appointment (£60 charge) before signing you up to the plan. This is so our dentists can advise which plan will best suit your dental needs. To arrange your update exam, call us on 0191 5483822 or pop in.

At John St, you can sign up in person, by calling our Practice Plan direct lines on 07460 786570 / 07460 790838, or by emailing the team at practiceplan@silvercharltondental.co.uk.

Is there a sign up fee?

Yes. Every new adult member will be charged a £9.50 sign up fee, which will be added to the first monthly payment only. There is no sign up fee for kids plans.

What are your Private and Plan treatment Prices?

You can find our private pay-as-you-go prices and our plan prices here. Please note these are subject to change.

Are there other plans available?

Yes. We do have more tailored hygiene and denture plans. These will be explained, costs outlined and offered by your dentist if neccessary.

What if I don’t want to join?

If you do not wish to become a member, we will happily continue seeing you on a pay-as-you-go basis. This means paying for your treatment as and when you have it, without benefitting from spreading the cost, discount on treatments and access to the Plan. Please note that we cannot guarantee appointments will be available to p-a-y-g patients and they may not be with the dentist of your choice.

What about children and NHS treatment?

We are still providing NHS dental exam appointments for children but at present they are on hold until we complete appointments of patients who already have active treatment plans with us. All children can still access our daily NHS urgent care appointments at John street and Fulwell. Please call us to discuss your childs dental needs and how we can help.
